Orenda is a french progressive-rock band that has been around for some years with a first album

"A Tale of a Tortured Soul", and with a second double-album

"A New Day for Heaven".

Both of them have been well acclaimed by the critics.

You will find on this new album called « Next », what is the meaning of progressive music. Beautiful melodies, epic choirs, soloing duels guitar-keyboards and musical structures where heavy parts counterpart with acoustic, dramatic, ambiant parts   And better than that: it is extremely well played.

Occasional influences from other bands within the style are also present, like such of Pain of salvation, Queen, Pink Floyd, Symphony X, Frost, Porcupine tree but they are only used to enrich the liaisons to the DT school of prog metal.
While focused on achieving a melodic and totally listenable work, Orenda is composed by obviously talented musicians that know how to interplay and construct a progressive, complex, fully enjoyable set of tracks that end up constituting an excellent prog metal proposition for all lovers of the genre.
